Our members voted to use some of our dues to make memorium donations to the Steve's Run Scholarship. It supports a great cause and is a wonderful way to honor the passing of someone we love.
Note that donations to the Steve's Run Scholarship are matched by SMC so our $50 donation provides $100 educational benefit.
In December 2011 the club voted to begin purchasing a $75 brick dedication on the SMC Alumni Plaza Ring of Fire as a memorial to members. Pat and Wally Hipshear are the first to have a brick memorial placed in the plaza.
